The Hangzhou Asian Games National Team (U24), led by Hwang Sun-hong, will play two friendly matches against the Chinese Asian Games National Team in China during the A-Match in June, the Korea Football Association announced today.
The Asian Games are normally reserved for the under-23 national teams. However, due to the postponement of last year’s Hangzhou Asian Games by one year, the U24 team will be competing in the tournament.
The games will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on the 15th and 8:35 p.m. ET on the 19th. Both matches will be held at Jinhua Stadium in Zhejiang, which 스포츠토토 will also host the soccer competition at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The roster will be announced on Friday, and the squad will convene at Incheon International Airport on Wednesday to depart for China.
Due to the postponement of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the team has not played an official match since then. The team traveled to Qatar in March and played two practice matches with local clubs. In May, the team held a three-day training camp at Paju NFC to improve their organization.
This is the first time China and the U-24 national team will meet, and we lead the head-to-head record at the U-23 level, which is the original age group for the Asian Games, with 11 wins, three draws and one loss. Meanwhile, the Hangzhou Asian Games will kick off on September 19. South Korean soccer will be looking to win its third consecutive gold medal after winning in Incheon in 2014 and Jakarta in 2018.
