Shohei Ohtani (LA Angels) has his second three-hit game in as many days. He’s making June even hotter.
Ohtani started in the No. 2 spot in the lineup 메이저사이트 against the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on Wednesday (June 12) and went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, and a run scored.
It was Ohtani’s second three-hit game in 10 days and continued his hot hitting in June, when he went 3-for-8. He is now 2-for-8 on the season.
Ohtani drew his first walk in the top of the first inning after leadoff hitter Taylor Ward’s leadoff homer, but was retired on a grounder to second base.
In the top of the third, he led off with a single to right. He then stole second on a Mike Trout single and scored on a Matt Tice double. It was the team’s fifth run.

He followed that up with a bases-loaded single to right in the bottom of the eighth to complete his three-hit game.
In addition to Ohtani’s three-hit performance, the Angels had a solid day at the plate. Zack Neto went 4-for-4 with a multi-homer homer, two doubles, two RBIs, and three runs scored, while Ward also had a home run and neutralized the Seattle mound with his long ball. Drury went 2-for-5 with a home run and an RBI, while Tice was 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
The Angels cruised to a 9-4 victory behind their bats. They are now 36-31 on the season.
