Samsung stops leading LG from 6 consecutive wins… KT wins 1-0 over Doosan

The Samsung Lions won a sweaty victory over the leader LG Twins by one point.

In the 2023 Shinhan Bank Sol KBO League match against LG held at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on the 15th, Samsung overcame a fierce pursuit and won 6-5.

After ending a two-game losing streak, Samsung maintained its ninth place with a record of 42 wins, 1 draw and 58 losses.

Leading LG ended its 5-game winning streak, recording 61 wins, 2 draws and 36 losses.

Won Tae-in, a native Samsung ace, pitched well with 7 hits and 2 runs in 6 innings, laying the foundation for the team’s victory.

In the first inning, LG gave 2 points, but from the 2nd inning, they continued pitching without a loss. He did not give up a single walk while striking out five.

Won Tae-in won his 5th win (6 losses) of the season with good pitching that day.

LG foreign ace Adam Plutko was shaken with 8 hits, 7 strikeouts and 4 runs (3 earned runs) in 5⅓ innings and became a losing pitcher. This is the 3rd loss of the season (11 wins).

Plutko continued pitching scoreless until the 5th inning, but swallowed the regret by showing a rapid hunting in the 6th inning.

It was LG that took the lead first.

Hong Chang-ki’s double and Shin Min-jae’s sacrifice bunt in the top of the first inning made it 1 out and 3 base, and Kim Hyun-soo hit a right-handed hit at the right time. The follow-up hitter, Austin Dean, hit a double that hit the top of the right fence and brought Kim Hyun-soo home.

Samsung, which had a hard time trying to target LG’s starting Plutco, made up its mind in the 6th inning.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, Kim Dong-jin’s left-handed hit and Kim Hyeon-joon’s and Kim Seong-yoon’s consecutive bunt hits created a chance for the bases loaded safely. The follow-up hitter, Ja-wook Koo, hit the pitcher and deflected it, leading to an infield hit, and the runner on third base scored.

In the ensuing run with bases loaded, third baseman Kim Hyun-joon went home as LG third baseman Moon Bo-kyung’s home throw missed Kang Min-ho’s ground ball.

Afterwards, Ryu Ji-hyuk hit a right-handed hit with 2 RBIs in the bases loaded with 2 outs, and Samsung overturned the game to 4-2.

LG caught up with 1 point in the top of the 7th inning with Hong Chang-ki’s timely left-handed hit from 1 company 1st and 2nd base, but Samsung widened the score again by scoring 2 points in the 8th inning.

In the bottom of the 8th inning, Kang Min-ho, Ryu Ji-hyeok, and Kang Han-wool walked, and Oh Jae-il scored two RBIs and left the bases with one run, leading Samsung to a 6-3 lead.

LG did not back down easily. In the 9th inning, Samsung’s finishing pitcher Oh Seung-hwan was shaken.

In the top of the ninth inning, Moon Sung-joo’s heavy hit and Heo Do-hwan’s right-handed double tied together to make up one point. In the 1st, 1st and 3rd bases, which were followed by Park Hae-min’s hit, Hong Chang-ki’s second base ground ball hit Do-hwan Heo home.

But that was it. Oh Seung-hwan protected Shin Min-jae with a pitcher ground ball and Kim Hyun-soo with a fly to right field to protect the team’s victory.

Oh Seung-hwan scored two runs in one inning and made an embarrassing save. It was his 18th save of the season (3 wins, 4 losses).

At Jamsil Stadium, where a match between foreign aces was held, the KT Wiz beat the Doosan Bears 1-0 with William Cuevas’ strong pitching and Kim Min-hyuk’s final blow.

3rd place KT, who had 3 consecutive wins, posted their 54th win of the season (2 draws, 45 losses) and caught up with 2nd place SSG Landers by 2 games.

Doosan, with 49 wins, 1 draw and 48 losses, is still in 5th place.

Cuevas and Raul Alcantara, who started for both teams, showed ace-down pitching.

Cuevas gave up only 2 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings and blocked the Doosan lineup with no runs. He struck out seven.

Against this, Alcantara also pitched a scoreless pitch with only 4 hits in 7 innings. He did not give up a single walk while striking out six.

Cuevas and Alcantara allowed only one hit each until the fourth inning.

It was Alcantara that faced the crisis first.

In the top of the 6th inning, Alcantara struck out Kim Sang-soo and Bae Jeong-dae in succession, and Kim Min-hyuk and Lee Ho-yeon hit consecutive hits and were driven to 1st and 3rd base. However, third base runner Kim Min-hyeok attempted a double steal and was out, and the crisis was over.

In the 7th inning, Cuevas faced a run crisis. He faltered as he gave up consecutive walks with two out and no runners.

Cuevas also did not concede. He struck out pinch hitter Kang Seung-ho and prevented a run.

After Cuevas overcame the crisis, KT succeeded in breaking the balance of ‘0’ against the changed pitcher Park Chi-guk.

At the beginning of the 8th inning, with no runners out, Bae Jeong-dae hit the right hander, and then went to second base due to a catch error by the right fielder.

Then, Kim Min-hyeok hit a triple at the right time in the middle left. Doosan center fielder Jeong Su-bin, who attempted a diving catch, failed to catch the batted ball, leading to a triple.

Kim Min-hyeok tried to reach home, but was blocked by the opponent’s relay play.

KT kept the lead as Park Young-hyun, who took the mound at the end of the 8th inning, made a tripartite inning, and put in Kim Jae-yoon, a finisher in the 9th inning.

Kim Jae-yoon struck out one and also ended one inning with a tripartite withdrawal. Kim Jae-yoon, who stepped on the 20th save season (3 wins and 2 losses), achieved 20 saves for 4 consecutive seasons.

Cuevas earned his 6th win of the season. Cuevas, who returned to KT as a substitute in mid-June, is on his 10th appearance of the season and has not yet recorded a defeat.

Alcantara withdrew without a win or loss, and Park Chi-guk, who gave up the finish line, suffered his first loss of the season (4 wins, 2 saves).

Kiwoom Heroes won 9-6 against KIA Tigers at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field.

The lowest Kiwoom, who managed to escape from 4 consecutive losses, recorded 43 wins, 3 draws and 62 losses. 6th place KIA, who lost 2 consecutive losses, recorded 45 wins, 2 draws and 47 losses, and was chased by 7th place Lotte by 0.5 games.

Kiwoom Kim Hye-seong took the lead in the team’s victory with 5 RBIs. Kim Hye-seong, who came out as the second batter, scored 4 hits, including a grand total in the 4th inning.

Kiwoom starter Ariel Hurado fought hard with 6 hits (1 home run), 3 strikeouts and 2 runs in 6 innings and won her 8th win (8 losses) of the season.

KIA native left-handed ace Yang Hyeon-jong lost face by collapsing with 6 hits (1 home run), 5 strikeouts, 4 walks and 7 runs in 5⅔ innings.

Yang Hyeon-jong took the 7th loss (5 wins) of the season. Yang Hyeon-jong, who has been unable to report victory in the second half, postponed the opportunity to tie the most starting wins in his career to another time.

Kiwoom broke the balance of 0-0 by scoring 5 points only in the 4th inning.

In the top of the 4th inning, Jeon Byung-woo’s double and Kim Dong-heon’s walk resulted in two outs loaded, and Kim Jun-wan chose a push-out walk.

In the ensuing 2 outs full base, Kim Hye-seong pulled the second fastball of opposing starter Yang Hyeon-jong and hit a grand slam that went over the right fence. Kim Hye-seong decorated his 6th home run of the season with his 4th home run of his personal career.

Kiwoom increased his momentum by adding 3 points in the 6th inning.

After two outs in the top of the 6th inning, Kim Dong-heon’s walk and Kim Jun-wan’s hit made it to 1st and 3rd base, and Kim Hye-seong pulled out a right-handed hit at the right time.

Ronnie Dawson hit a timely hit with 2 RBIs on 2nd, 2nd and 3rd bases, which led to the opposing pitcher’s wild throw.

KIA’s pursuit was also fierce.

At the end of the 6th inning, Na Seong-beom hit the Woo Jung-wol two-run gun (Season 10) at the 2nd and 1st base, making up for 2 points, and KIA added 4 points in the 7th inning. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Choi Won-joon hit a timely hit with 2nd out and 2nd base, and Park Chan-ho’s infield hit led to Kim Do-young’s 2 RBI double at the right center and Na Seong-beom’s timely hit to the left-middle in a row.

But that was it. KIA failed to score an extra point from the bases loaded with 2 out of a team due to an opponent’s mistake and Socrates Brito’s intentional 4 pitches.

At the end of the 8th inning, Kiwoom faced a crisis with 2 outs on 1st and 2nd base, but Lim Chang-min struck out Kim Do-young to keep the lead. Lim Chang-min, who organized the bottom of the 9th inning with a tripartite, recorded a scoreless score in 1⅓ innings and earned his 18th save of the season (1 win, 2 losses).

Lotte Giants won 10-6 against SSG Landers at Sajik Stadium.

7th place Lotte, who had two consecutive wins, became 48-51.

2nd place SSG (55 wins, 1 draw, 42 losses), whose 2 consecutive wins were suspended, narrowed the gap with 3rd place KT to 2 games.

Lotte batting line harassed the SSG hill with 16 hits. Noh Jin-hyeok (3 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 RBIs) and Jung Bo-geun (3 hits in 3 at-bats, 2 RBIs, 2 points) played a 3-hit game side by side, and Jeon Jun-woo played an active role with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, 1 RBI and 3 points.

Lotte native ace Park Se-woong recorded 4 hits, 3 strikeouts, 2 walks and 2 runs in 6 innings with support from other lines and reported his first victory in the second half. After the match against LG on June 23, he won his 5th win (7 losses) of the season in 53 days.

After starter Roennis Elias allowed 3 runs on 7 hits (1 home run) in 4 innings, SSG drank the bitter cup of defeat as the bullpen collapsed one after another. Elias suffered his 5th loss (5 wins) of the season.

Lotte, who gave 2 points to SSG at the beginning of the 4th inning, immediately turned around.

At the bottom of the 4th inning, lead batter Jeon Jun-woo hit a solo home run (Season No. 11) over the left wall, sparking the chase.

Lotte tied the score with Nico Gudrum and Jung Bo-geun’s consecutive hits, and Yoon Dong-hee hit a sacrifice fly to take the lead 3-2 with Noh Jin-hyeok’s double and Kim Min-seok’s walk.

In the bottom of the 5th inning, Jeong Bo-geun scored a timely hit with 2 outs on 1st and 2nd base, adding 1 point.

When SSG caught up with Choo Shin-soo’s timely left-handed hit in the top of the 7th inning, Lotte ran away with a large number of 4 points in the 7th inning.

In the bottom of the 7th inning, Gu Drum’s infield hit and Jeong Bo-geun’s walk made it 1 out, 1st and 2nd base, and Noh Jin-hyuk hit the right time hit. Subsequent batter Kim Min-seok also hit a double at the right time.

In the ensuing 1 out 2 and 3 base, Yoon Dong-hee pulled out a sacrifice fly, and An Chi-hong, who entered the at bat, blew a heavy hit and called Kim Min-seok home, the third base runner.

SSG chased after Park Seong-han’s superior two-run home run (Season 6), which broke out from second base safely in the top of the 8th inning, but Lotte took the victory by adding 2 points in the ensuing attack. In the bottom of the 8th inning, with one out and bases loaded, Noh Jin-hyeok hit a right-handed hit with 2 RBIs.

When Kim Sang-soo, who took the mound in the top of the ninth inning, brought on the crisis of a run with a full base, Lotte put in finisher Kim Won-joong.

Kim Won-joong induced Park Seong-han to ground shortstop, then caught pinch hitter Kang Jin-seong with a fly to left field, giving only one run and overcoming the bases loaded crisis. Kim Won-joong posted his 22nd save of the season (5 wins and 3 losses).

At Changwon NC Park, the NC Dinos and Hanwha Eagles finished with a 3-3 draw.

NC is the second draw of the season (50-46), and Hanwha is the 6th this season (40-52).

Hanwha took the lead. At the beginning of the first inning, in the absence of two runners, Roh Si-hwan pulled a 143 km/h fastball from opponent starter Tanner Tully to hit a solo home run (Season No. 28) that went over the left fence.

NC also tied the game with a home run. In the bottom of the second inning, lead batter Jason Martin drew a solo arch (Season No. 12) with Woo Joong-wol.

The balance of 1-1 was broken by Hanwha first. In the top of the 6th inning, with 1 out and 2 base, Nick Williams hit a superior two-run home run (Season No. 4).

NC followed straight away. At the end of the 6th inning, lead batter Park Min-woo hit a triple that flowed down the right side of the line, and Hanwha third baseman Noh Si-hwan took advantage of the gap in not receiving the throw from the right fielder and dug home.메이저사이트

At the end of the 7th inning, with the opponent’s error and Oh Young-soo and Kim Joo-won’s consecutive walks, NC scored 3-3 with third base runner Do Tae-hoon when Son Ah-seop’s shortstop grounded with a first-out bases loaded.

Both teams went into overtime, but in the end it was not a winner.

NC’s new foreign pitcher, Tanner Tully, made a decent debut in the KBO League with 6 hits (2 homers), 4 strikeouts and 3 runs in 6 innings, but was unable to connect with victory.

Hanwha starter Felix Pena’s strong pitching with 4 hits (1 home run), 4 strikeouts, 2 walks and 3 runs (1 earned run) in 6⅓ innings also faded.
