SSG Landers slugger Choi Jeong-jeong celebrated his 2100th game with a leadoff solo shot.
Choi hit a leadoff solo 메이저사이트 home run in the first inning of the SSG Landers’ 2023 Shinhan Bank Solar KBO League game against the Doosan Bears at Jamsil Stadium on April 22, starting as the No. 3 designated hitter.
With the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the first inning, Choi pulled a curveball from opposing starter Choi Seung-yong for a solo arch over the left field fence.
It was Choi’s “self-congratulatory shot” in his 2100th career game.
Choi became the eighth player in history to reach the 2100-game mark, joining Park Yong-taek (2237), Jung Sung-hoon (2223), Kang Min-ho (2165), Lee Jin-young (2160), Yang Jun-hyuk (2135), Park Han-yi (2127), and Kim Min-jae (2113).
With his 16th home run of the season, Choi maintained his lead in the home run category. With 14 homers, he is now two away from second-place Park Dong-won (LG Twins).
Guillermo Heredia followed with a solo shot to left field to complete the back-to-back home runs.
