LG Twins’ new foreign hitter, Austin Dean, holds the key to winning the Korean Series.
Austin said he was well aware of the ‘LG foreign hitter curse’ caused by the sluggishness of LG foreign batters in recent years. This is thanks to the direct messages (DM) sent by fans.

Austin Dean, who joined LG as a new foreign hitter this season, said, “It’s my first time in the KBO league, and it’s great to come to LG camp, and it’s nice that all the team members welcome me. Everyone is doing well, so they are permeating well into the team,” he said with a smile. 바카라사이트
During the interview with the reporters, Austin asked if there was any pressure on the fact that all of the foreign hitters who recently played for LG had poor results, and that the sluggish performance of foreign hitters might turn into a jinx.
In 2021, Roberto Ramos (batting average .243) and Justin Boer (batting average .170) were sluggish, and last year Rio Ruiz (batting average .155) and Robello Garcia (batting average .206) were ejected due to poor performance.
Austin said, “I heard that it was a bit of a curse because of poor grades. I don’t feel too much pressure about that. “I don’t have a lot of pressure and it’s okay because I try to play to the best of my ability, keep looking at all the results at the end of the day, and watch the results that lead to the championship at the end of the season.”
How do you know the ‘LG Foreign Batter Curse’? Austin said, “They sent me a DM on Instagram. I found out by watching the messages over and over again.”
How many messages have you received? Austin laughed and said, “The curse-related DMs were part of it. Most of them were messages of support. From 2018, I began to receive messages little by little from Korean fans. Most of them heard rumors that I was going to Korea and sent messages of support.”
Then, he laughed, “When I heard that I was traded, half of the Korean fans were messages of support and half of the messages were messages to come to our team (of the KBO League).
